Tip UsA new trailer released by Modern Warfare 3 developer Infinity Ward, shows off the new survival mode.
Survival mode is something that is not new to the Call of Duty franchise, it first appeared in World at War and was better known as Nazi Zombies. It returned for Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Other popular games such as Gears of War and Halo ODST have featured a survival mode in recent years, with many claiming the popular game mode was sparked during Halo 2 when it became a very popular online custom multiplayer mode.
The new Spec-Ops Survival mode seen in the trailer allows gamers to defend against wave after wave of attacks and is compatible with all Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer maps.
When describing the new game mode Infinity Ward had this to say: “In Survival you will fight off waves of increasingly difficult enemies as you earn XP and unlock several types of armouries to expand your arsenal and load-out customisations along the way.”
As well as showing off the new game mode the trailer gives us a glimpse of some of the upcoming multiplayer maps, one of which is based in London.
