Tip UsThe Official Nintendo Magazine has revealed a new streamlined Wii console will be released in the UK before Christmas.
The new ‘value bundle’ will come with Wii Party and Wii Sports. The console is a streamlined white Wii but the design has been altered so it can sit horizontally rather than vertically. The bundle which has been dubbed the “Family Edition Bundle” will also come with a Wii Remote Plus controller with nunchuck sub-controller.
Unfortunately for fans of the Gamecube, it will not be backwards compatable; so no longer plays Gamecube cames and isn’t compatible with the Gamecube controllers.
Many experts have been saying the Wii is past it’s best and with the announcement of the Wii’s successor (the Wii U) at E3 earlier this year the Wii sales have suffered; so the Japanese gaming giants will be hoping this new bundle gives the Wii the boost it needs. At least until the Wii U arrives.
