Virgin Mobile have revealed two new smartphones heading to their increasing range of Android devices; the LG Optimus Slider and the HTC Wildfire S. They are low-end phones so no dual-core processors or HD displays.
LG Optimus Slider
The LG Optimus Slider is similar to the LG Optimus Note we saw a few weeks ago but is not the same phone. It features a 3.2-inch HVGA Capacitive Touch Display with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 600MHz single-core processor, 512MB RAM, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and microSD slot for up to 32GB card. It will be running the Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
HTC Wildfire S
The HTC Wildfire S is basically the same as the one sold in the UK on T-Mobile. It has a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen, 600MHz single-core processor, 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, 3G and Wi-fi. It is running Android 2.3 Gingerbread alongside HTC Sense. It comes in two different colors, silver and white.
The LG Optimus Slider will be available at Best Buy and RadioShack on October 31. The Wildfire S will be available at Best Buy and RadioShack on October 23, for $200.
