Samsung agreed to not sell the Galaxy Tab in Australia until September 30, even though it was meant to go on sale September 12. Hearings have been scheduled on September 26 and September 29 to decide if Samsung will be allowed to sell the Galaxy Tab in Australia.
This latest twist in the ongoing patent war between Samsung and Apple which has been ongoing for many months now, means if Samsung were successful the iPhone and iPad could not be sold in Australia.
Apple and Samsung are currently fighting it out in at least 12 courts, in nine different countries. It is expected at some point they will come to some sort of agreement for all devices to be sold worldwide. That could mean the guilty party ends up paying a licensing fee to use the patents.
