Rumors going around seem to suggest Samsung are set to launch a new version of it’s Galaxy Tab range.
The Galaxy Tab will be given an overhaul which includes a 7-inch AMOLED screen; the same style of AMOLED displays seen in the Galaxy S.
The rumor is based on the fact that Samsung showed off a 7-inch OLED display prototype back in March. Samsung had this to say:
“Some media have been reporting that Samsung is preparing to launch nine new smartphones and two new tablet devices. While Samsung is continuously working on new devices for our customers, the details being cited are not accurate in this case.,
“We appreciate the interest in our upcoming mobile devices and will share more information once it’s available.”
Although the statement says rumors aren’t accurate regarding nine new smartphones and two new tablets, it doesn’t dismiss rumors of a new tablet with an AMOLED screen.
There’s also a spec sheet for a rumored Galaxy Tab P62000 7-inch device which is said to be heading for release with a 1024 x 600p AMOLED display alongside a 3-megapixel rear-mounted camera and a second, forward-facing 2-meg snapper.
