We’ve seen a few different versions of the Galaxy S II in the US and Canada over recent weeks and now Samsung Korea have announced two new versions of the device; the Galaxy S II LTE and Galaxy S II HD LTE.
The Samsung Galaxy S II LTE is packing a 4.5-inch WVGA panel as seen on the EPIC 4G Touch, however it’s the Galaxy S II HD LTE that has impressed with its huge 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD display running at 1280 x 720 resolution. They both have a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of internal storage, WiFi a/b/g/n, NFC, Bluetooth 3.0, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and full HD video recording and a front-facing camera for video calls.
They both have 4G LTE support plus GSM/HSPA+ roaming for when you’re outside South Korea’s 4G network. Despite having a huge 1850 mAh battery they only come in at 9.5mm thick.
The Galaxy S II LTE will be hitting the SK Telecom and will be exclusive to that network. The Galaxy S II HD LTE however will go on sale through SK Telecom, LG U+ and KT. There is no word on whether or not they will be available in Europe or the US but given the huge 4.65-inch HD display on the Galaxy S II HD LTE we’re sure there’ll be plenty of demand.
