Samsung recently announced they would be releasing a new Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE at the IFA technology conference in Berlin. Roughly a couple of weeks later and the Wi-Fi only version is now up for pre-order in the US. You can pre-order it now at Best Buy.
This latest offering from Samsung will of course slot between the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the more recent Galaxy Tab 7.7.
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE was confirmed to be running on an updated 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, with everything else the same.
The Wi-Fi only version however is reported to be only running a 1.0GHz dual-core processor thought to be the Tegra 2 variety. It will feature the same 1200 x 800 display, Android 3.1, a 3MP rear-facing camera, 2MP front-facing camera, and other standard features such as a USB port and Bluetooth 3.0.
The tablet is available in two different storage sizes; 16GB and 32GB. The 16GB (P7310MAYXAR) version is available to pre-order at $469.99, with the larger 32GB version (GT-P7310MAVXAR) costing $569.99. No specific release date has been confirmed, however they are expected to ship late September.
