We all love some rumors and leaks but this latest one should definitely been taken with a grain of salt. It comes from an anonymous user on the 4Chan forums.
Although he has not used the device, he claims to have heard about the specs from Samsung staff and has seen photos of the device. According to the tipster the Samsung Galaxy S III will be running on a 2.0GHz Quad-core processor and 1.5GB RAM, plus expandable memory with 32GB built-in
It will have a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED III 1280 x 1024 display which has been designed with the phone in mind; that’s a pixel density of 352-PPI which is the highest for any smartphone on the market.
The tipster goes on to say it will have a 10-megapixel camera capable of recording 1080p videos at 60fps, metal body with 9mm thickness, 2,250mAh battery and built-in NFC.
It will be running on the latest version of Google’s Android OS; Ice Cream Sandwich 2.4 alongside Samsung’s TouchWiz 5 UI. In terms of the application tray, it had three tabs up top for Apps, Games, and Widgets to allow for quick and easy access to apps.
Samsung is planning to announce the device at MWC 2012 which runs from February 27 to March 1. However with the Samsung Galaxy S II only just making its way to US shores we not expecting a release date for the Galaxy S III until mid-late 2012.
