Samsung Galaxy Note will hit UK November 17

According to a statement issued by the managing director of Samsung UK and Ireland, the world’s largest smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Note, will go on sale in the UK on November 17.

Samsung announced the Note back at the IFA 2011 technology show in Berlin. The device boasts a massive 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED display with 800×1280 resolution which is unrivaled on the current smartphone market. It also comes with a PDA style ‘Smart Pen’ and has been described as a smartphone/tablet hybrid.

JK Shin, the President of the Mobile Communications Business Division of Samsung said, “It is the biggest and has the highest quality display of the smartphone industry.”

The phone will be running of a 1.4GHz processor with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It features two cameras, a rear-facing 8 megapixel camara capable of Full HD video recording and a front-facing 2 megapixel camera. It weighs just 178g, a little more than most smartphones despite packing a huge 2,500mAh battery.
