Just last week Canadion carrier Telus posted up a page on their official site for their upcoming flagship phone; the 4G Samsung Galaxy S II X. On their site they say it’s, “Canada’s fastest smartphone on Canada’s fastest** coast-to-coast 4G network. Powered by Android 2.3. Only from TELUS”
A week later and we’re now getting a hands on look at the phone thanks to MobileSyrup. They got some hands on time with the phone today when they took some photos and a video.
The phone was initially rumored to be heading to Telus as the Samsung Hercules, but dropped that variant for something which is much more of a mouthful: the 4G Galaxy S II X (4GGS2X). It will be sporting a stunning 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display (800 x 400), a a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p video support and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
Other features include a huge 1850mAh battery, NFC capabilities and is running the very last version of Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread OS. In the video the person also states the phone is very light despite the size of the device.
There is still no news of a price, however we can expect to see a release date very soon.
