Nexus Prime specs leaked ahead of unveiling next week

There has been much talk about a Nexus Prime for many months now and we’ve heard many rumors. Now ahead of its expected debut next week its specs have been leaked.

BGR received the specs from what they are calling a trusted source. The device will have a stunning 4.65-inch 1280 x 720-pixel Super AMOLED HD display with curved glass, will be running on a TI OMAP 4460 dual-core Cortex A9 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p HD video capture support and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.

It will also have LTE/ or HSPA depending on the carrier, WiFi a/b/g/n, NFC and a 1,750 mAh battery. It will of course as rumored be running the highly anticipated Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, although there have been conflicting rumors on whether or not it will be “Android 4.0.”

UPDATE – New updated specs

Gsmarena have just received new specs from a tipster who works within Google and claims to be familiar with the Nexus Prime. If you were impressed with the above specs you’ll be even more excited about these news specs.

Apparently it will be running on a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. On the chipset will reside a powerful dual-core GPU from Imagination, which could be the PowerVR SGX543MP2; the same found in the iPad 2.

What’s more it will have an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera capable of full 1080p HD video-recording with some sort of an improved sensor. It will also have a huge 2050mAh battery, a dual-mode GSM/CDMA radio like the Apple iPhone 4S and will be LTE enabled.

“Something BIG is coming” but are these new specs too good to be true?
