Motorola have announced their follow up to the Motorola Defy; the Motorola Defy+.
Just like the it’s predecessor which they released just before Christmas last year, the Motorola Defy+ is waterproof, scratch-resistant and dust-proof.
Motorola have definitely learnt much from the original Motorola Defy as this phone really does take everything you throw at it. It sports a toughened screen and more sturdy frame which means you can drop it without worrying about breaking it. It also has sealed rubberised ports so you can bring it diving with you.
The 3.7-inch touchscreen is made from Corning Gorilla Glass; the same is used on the Samsung Xcover. It packs a 1GHz processor, 5MP camera and 2GB of storage. It will be running on Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread.
Alain Mutricy who is the Senior Vice President of portfolio and device product management at Motorola Mobility has this to say: “Motorola DEFY+, our latest life proof smartphone, delivers the endurance and design strength to keep up with even the most demanding lifestyles, along with the social and entertainment capabilities that put friends and fun in easy reach.”
A release date is expected in the next couple of months. Let us know what you think of this latest smartphone from Motorola via Twitter, Facebook or leave us a comment below.
