Apart from the LG Optimus x2 all of the LG phones on the market at the moment are all single-core devices, so we were expecting LG to add some more phones to their dual-core portfolio very soon. This latest phone from LG that has been leaked is shaping up to be a real powerhouse of a phone.
A 1.5GHz dual-core processor, LTE and HD display seems to be the standard for flagship phones at the moment. We know HTC will be releasing a phone with similar specs very soon and it’s widely expected the Apple iPhone 5 will be packing all of those specs. Now we know LG are ready to jump on the bandwagon and release what we expect will be their next flagship phone.
It will be reportedly be the first phone to hit the market with a 4.5″ HD 1280 x 720 pixels display and the first in the world with the award-winning AH-IPS display technology. It will be packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, with two 1.5GHz Scorpion cores, 1GB of RAM and the Adreno 220 GPU.
This phone is packed full of other features including an LTE radio, NFC, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, DNLA, MHL, mAh battery, terrestrial DMB, 4GB of internal memory, front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera and 8-megapixel rear-facing AF camera. It weighs in at just 123 grams, is only 10.5mm thick and network data transfers with speeds up to 75Mbps.
Unfortunately this powerhouse of a phone will only go on sale in South Korea at launch, with a release date expected later this year. It is expected to reach other countries in early 2012. One thing’s for sure, we’re not going to be short of phones to choose from in the coming months.
