Kodak have revealed a new small and compact video camera called the Playfull Waterproof Video Camera. The camera is water resistant and can be submerged under water for video recording up to 10 feet.
As well as being waterproof the device is also dust and drop proof. It records to SD/SDHC memory cards and can hold cards up to 32GB memory, there is also 18MB of internal storage. On the rear of the camera there is a small LCD that is 2-inches wide and has 2x digital zoom, along with touch buttons to control the settings of the camera, play video, delete files and change between photo and video.
It is powered by a lithium polymer battery. The camera is charged using a USB cable that hooks up to your computer, which is also used to transfer files from the camera to your computer. Pictures are only 1MP and whilst video recording is 720p HD at up to 30 fps.
In terms of pricing the camera alone will cost you only $99.95, or if want to purchase it with a 4GB SDHC card the price is $119.95 or $99.95. It is set to go on sale sometime next month.
