It has been a busy day for iPhone 5/iPhone 4S leaks and this latest one is maybe the most significant to date. Cincinnati Bell posted these placeholders for the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S on their i-Wireless prepaid cell phone section of the website. They were only posted for a few seconds but one eager-eyed person was quick enough to get some screenshots before they were removed.
Cincinnati Bell is a regional carrier in the US, unlike major carrier’s such as AT&T and Verizon. The prices shown are for the devices on pay-as-you-go.
The placeholder listing for the iPhone 5 shows a 32GB version of the device with a 4-inch screen, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 4G data speeds. It comes with a price tag of $639.99, the regular price being $699.99 with savings of $60.
The iPhone 4S screenshot shows a 16GB version of the phone. It will be sporting a 3.5-inch screen, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and an A5 processor. It will be selling for $99.99, the regular price being $400.00 with savings of $300.00.
Whilst these leaked screenshots are exciting news we should take them with a pinch of salt. They could very much just be temporary specs and prices until they are revealed. With the Apple’s “Let’s Talk iPhone” event on October 4, 2011 it won’t be long now till we find out. We’ll be updating news from the event throughout the day on October 4, so stay tuned.
