There has been much talk about the HTC Vigor in recent weeks, specs and pictures have been leaked and we even got a look at the press shot. Now a tipster has been lucky enough to get their hands on one and ripped the device’s boot sequence.
The boot sequence which includes wallpapers and sound files was shared with AndroidPolice. The wallpapers in the boot sequence confirm a couple of rumors, firstly that the device will have Beats Audio technology. Another wallpaper also shows the 4G LTE logo which was much rumored.
A couple of weeks ago there was a screenshot leaked that said the HTC Vigor would join the Droid line-up as the Droid Incredible HD when it is released, however missing from the boot sequence is the Droid boot animation found in all other Verizon Droid-branded handsets. The animation which features a giant red eye has been a big part of the branding for Verizon’s Droid phones, so it wouldn’t make sense to all of a sudden drop it. There was also no Droid notification sound as part of the files that were leaked.
It’s possible the wallpaper and sound will be added at a later date, however it seems more likely the HTC Vigor won’t be joining the Droid line-up.
The screenshots that were leaked were 1440 x 1280 resolution, which confirms that the HTC Vigor will have a 720p HD display.
The device is expected to launch next month and according to rumors will feature a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It will be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread alongside HTC’s Sense 3.5 UI.
