Most of only dream of having a Xbox 360 and PS3 in one system, but for one gamer that dream is now a reality.
Reddit user timofiend has packed the latest slim model of the Xbox 360 and an older 80GB Playstation 3 into one PC case.
“Spent the last month or so working on this, has a new Xbox 360 slim inside, and an 80 gig PS3 (normal one not the slim, as I couldn’t afford to buy two new consoles for this project I just used mine),” said reddit user timofiend.
I’m sure some of you are wondering how he keeps the two systems cool in the same case… liquid cooling? Well no, he skipped out on using liquid cooling and used standard fan powered cooling because of how expensive liquid cooling is. Whether he has packed any other cooling components within the case remains to be seen but the fan cooling seems to be working for now as there have been no issues.
When both consoles are turned on at the same time, the temperatures sit at around 38-39 degrees celsius (100-102 degrees fahrenheit) for the Playstation 3 and 37-38 degrees celsius (98.6-100 degrees fahrenheit) for the Xbox 360.
Timofiend is working on documentation for the building process which will hopefully be released soon.
