Apple have officially confirmed that they will be holding a press event on October 4 at 10am PT, where it is widely expected they will be unveiling the iPhone 5. It will be Apple CEO Tim Cook’s first appearance on stage for a major product launch. The event which they have give the tagline “Let’s Talk iPhone”, will be held at the Apple Cupertino building.
It has been suggested they chose the location of Cupertino so that they can demonstrate a 4G LTE network running on the iPhone 5 using their own equipment, rather than having to rely on the carrier’s coverage. However we’re still not completely sure whether it’ll be the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S or both that they are going to unveil.
The same rumors have been making the rounds concerning the iPhone 5; a dual-core Apple A5 processor, an 8-megapixel camera and iOS 5. It will also have a larger display with a thinner and wider body. The iPhone 4S is set to be a cheaper and better alternative to the iPhone 4.
