It has been a busy few days in terms of Motorola leaks and we’ve got some more. A couple of days ago we seen the Motorola Atrix 2 up close and personal thanks to some hands on pictures from This Is My Next, now they’ve got all the specs, the first press shot and more.
First of all it has been confirmed that it will be called the Motorola Atrix 2 when it is released and will be heading to AT&T. It will be sporting a 4.3-inch qHD 960 x 540 display, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear-facng camera with 1080p video capture and 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. There is 8GB of internal storage and it comes with a 2GB micro-SD card which can be expanded to a total of 40GB. There are rumors of a 1.2 GHz TI OMAP 4 series dual-core processor.
Surprisingly the device will not support AT&T’s 4G LTE network but rather will only be running on HSPA+. In terms of battery life, talk time is 8.5 hours and max standby time is 15.9 days.
As expected it will support Webtop, including the usual Webtop accessories. The Atrix 2 Webtop accessories will include a HD Dock and a Lapdock 100, which is a new Lapdock. It doesn’t have any new features with the only notable difference being the fancy new design and it’s smaller. It comes in at 10.1 inches in comparison to the old model’s 11.6 inches.
We expect this new Lapdock 100 will be the new standard Lapdock for future Motorola smartphones, and hopefully given its smaller screen it will also come in a bit lighter.
