Today LG unveiled their LG Optimus Q2 Android smartphone which features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It will be running of powerful 1.2GHz processor and has a stunning 4-inch IPS LCD 800×480 display.
For those of you who love a physical QWERTY keyboard on a phone, this is a must have. It may not be the most powerful phone on the market but we can say for sure this is now the best phone on the market with a physical keyboard. It is packed full of other features including a 5-megapixel rear facing camera, VGA front facing camera and Wi-Fi Direct Technology.
The Tegra 2 chip that the phone is running on makes the LG Optimus Q2 faster than the LG Optimus 3D and LG Optimus 2X smartphones. Wi-Fi Direct allows for fast connection between devices without the need for a hotspot and the stunning display runs at 700 nits so the display is incredibly bright.
The phone weighs in at just 147g but the most amazing thing about this phone is that it comes in at 12.3mm thick which is thinner than its predecessor despite the slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It will of course be running the latest version of Android Gingerbread 2.3
The LG Optimus Q2 will be released in South Korea next week, however no release date or pricing for Europe and the US has been announced.
