Last month Google launched their Google+ on the iPhone, now carrying on with the good work; they extend Google+ to Apple’s iPod Touch and iPad tablets.
Google+ made compatible to work on all iOS devices
Google has worked on the compatibility between Apple’s iOS and Google+ on the iPhone, iPad touch and iPad. In a late update, Google had has embedded a settings modification for their Group chat (Huddle) so that the user can message a particular person belonging to particular circle. Also, they have added the notification that users receive when being added to a circle.
However, Google+ still is not working on the latest iOS 5 beta versions. Google has integrated a user-friendly pop-up message that informs the users about this stumbling block.
Google+: Download from iTunes and enjoy the latest social networking buzz
You can find and download the free Google+ app from the iTunes store and install it onto your device. As Google+ still remains invitee-only, you have to have a prior invitation from an existing user. If you have one, or if you are already a member just sign in using your Google account.
All settings you have on the computer such as existing Google+ circles, will be intact even when you are first accessing from your iPad or iPod Touch. Among the notable changes, Huddle has replaced Hangout apps; Google’s web-only video chat option. Though we hope a modified ‘Hangout’ feature will be integrated into the full version of iOS, but for the time being we’ll be happy with chat-only Huddle.
Google+ on iOS: Managing friends just got easier
With Google+ on the iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch, managing and networking with friends and peers have just got easier. You can scroll through a long list of possible contacts — both known and complete strangers; then just add those who you want to be in a created Circle.
Taking tips from the Facebook mobile notification, Google has modified Google+ so a pop up a screen appears when you click on the Notification box. The screen can be refreshed and updated by dragging and releasing.
Though the Google+ app works well, has a smart look and user-friendly interface; Google is working on it further to make it fully compatible with upcoming iOS 5.
