Android App of the Week
Our choice for this week’s Android App is the well known game Tetris. Originally released in 1984, all these years on it still holds it own against any handheld game. The full, official EA version of Tetris is now available for free from the Android Market. However, free usually means ads, which come in the form of full page ads between levels but it’s better than paying the for the game. Kotaku says, “Free Tetris is an excellent reason to own an Android device.”

Illusion Labs’ Touchgrind BMX for the iPad is finally available on the iPad in native form. Winner of Most Innovative Game 2008 at the Best App Ever Awards, this latest update Touchgrind BMX v1.4 allows user to play the game on the iPad in native form rather than an upscaled version of the app. For current users it is a free update or $4.99 to purchase.
Visually this latest update is has improved the graphics and is much more noticeable on the iPad.
