A German Apple suit ruling has blocked Samsung from selling their Galaxy Tab 10.1 across Europe.
In yet another twist in the on-going patent war between tech giants Apple and Samsung, a ruling by a regional court in Dusseldorf, Germany has granted a preliminary injunction to Apple, which blocks the sale and advertising of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 across Europe. Samsung are likely to appeal the decision but in the meantime the decision will stand.
This will come as a huge blow to Samsung who will be hoping they can overturn the decision.
The patent war between Apple and Samsung has been on-going for many months now. The tussle between Apple and Samsung began when Apple filed a suit against Samsung in April in San Francisco, accusing the Korean firm of copying its smartphones and tablet computers.
Samsung hit back later that month with a lawsuit in Seoul accusing Apple of infringing on five of their own patents. It filed two of the patent infringements in Tokyo, and the other three in the German city of Mannheim.
Since then Apple lodged a second lawsuit against Samsung with a district court in Seoul, asking for a sales ban on Samsung’s latest products. It accused them of copying the iPhone and iPad.
